The Anthropic PDF skill reads, creates, merges, splits, fills and OCRs PDF files. It walks the agent through common PDF jobs such as extracting text and tables, combining or splitting files, filling forms and making scanned pages searchable. Anthropic publishes it as a reference implementation in the document-skills plugin for Claude Code; it is pre-installed in the Claude apps on paid plans, works through the Skills API and is source-available.
