The Netlify MCP server is Netlify’s official, ISC-licensed server that gives agents access to the Netlify API and CLI, so they can create, build, deploy and manage Netlify sites and their configuration. It runs remotely over HTTP or locally over stdio and signs in with a Netlify login or a personal access token. The README offers one-click install links for Cursor and Copilot in VS Code.

Agents can create projects, deploy, manage environment variables, forms and access controls, and install extensions. Netlify recommends its remote server (netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp, added with npx add-mcp). The local package @netlify/mcp still runs over npx.
