The Linear MCP server lets agents find, create and update Linear issues, projects and comments. Linear hosts it centrally and serves it over Streamable HTTP at mcp.linear.app/mcp, with a separate /mcp/readonly endpoint that exposes only read tools. It authenticates with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration, or with a bearer token or Linear API key. The steps below cover Claude Code, Codex and Copilot in VS Code.
