A Model Context Protocol reference server for the current time and timezone conversion.

The Time MCP server is a small Python reference server from the Model Context Protocol project. It gives agents the current time in any IANA timezone and converts times between zones. It runs locally over stdio via uvx, pip or Docker, needs no authentication and is MIT-licensed. Its README shows setup for Claude Desktop and Copilot in VS Code.

It has two tools: get_current_time, for a given IANA timezone or the system zone, and convert_time, which converts a time between two zones. It detects the system timezone automatically, and a flag can override it.
