Figma MCP Server is Figma’s remote server at mcp.figma.com/mcp, the successor to the Dev Mode MCP server.
The Figma MCP server brings Figma design context into coding agents and lets them write to Figma and FigJam canvases. Figma hosts it over remote HTTP with OAuth sign-in, and only clients listed in Figma’s MCP catalog can connect. The install steps below cover Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Copilot in VS Code. It replaces the Dev Mode MCP server that ran from the desktop app.
Agents can generate code from selected frames, extract variables, components and layout data, reuse real components through Code Connect, create FigJam diagrams, and create or edit native content on the canvas.
