Yes, Google Antigravity is free for individuals: the “For Individuals” plan costs $0/month and includes the agent with Gemini, Claude and gpt-oss models, unlimited Tab completions, unlimited Command requests and “basic weekly rate limits” (Antigravity pricing). Higher limits come with a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, and organizations pay through Google Cloud.

Applies to: Google Antigravity v2.19.1 (released September 30, 2026) and Google’s Antigravity pricing and docs as of October 2, 2026. Last checked: October 2, 2026.

What the free Antigravity plan includes

Google’s pricing page describes the free plan as “Experience Antigravity without a subscription plan” and lists:

  • “Agent model: access to Gemini 3.8 Flash, Gemini 3.7 Flash, Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Claude Sonnet & Opus 4.6, gpt-oss-120b”
  • “Unlimited Tab completions”
  • “Unlimited Command requests”
  • “Basic weekly rate limits”

The Plans docs add that all plans get a baseline of Gemini models as the core agent model, unlimited Tab completions, and “Access to all product features, such as the Scheduled Tasks and the CLI.” The same page says rate limits and model availability differ by Google AI plan.

Models on the free plan

The Models page lists the same agent models for the free tier as for Pro and Ultra:

Model Free & Google AI Plus Google AI Pro Google AI Ultra Enterprise

Gemini 3.7 Flash Yes Yes Yes Yes
Gemini 3.6 Flash Yes Yes Yes Yes
Gemini 3.1 Pro Yes Yes Yes Yes

Free plan rate limits, in Google’s words

Google does not publish a number of prompts or tasks for any plan. The Plans docs describe the quota per plan:

Plan Quota Weekly limit
Free (not on AI Pro or Ultra) “Meaningful quota, refreshed weekly” “Weekly rate limit”
Google AI Pro “High, generous quota, refreshed every five hours until weekly limit reached” “Higher weekly rate limit”
Google AI Ultra “The highest, most generous quota, refreshed every five hours” “Highest weekly rate limits”

How Google sizes those limits, from the same page:

  • “The baseline rate limits are primarily determined to the degree we have capacity, and exist to prevent abuse.”
  • “Under the hood, the rate limits are correlated with the amount of work done by the agent, which can differ from prompt to prompt. Thus, you may get many more prompts if your tasks are more straightforward and the agent can complete the work quickly, and the opposite is also true.”
  • “Usage limits for this service are subject to modification.”

On the free plan the quota refreshes weekly. On Pro and Ultra it refreshes every five hours, with a weekly cap on top. You can view baseline quota usage across models on the Settings page (Plans).

What happens when the free quota runs out

On the free plan you wait for the weekly refresh. Paying for extra usage with AI credits is listed only for subscribers: “Users on Google AI Pro or Ultra plans can utilize purchased AI credits (or any one-time promotional credits) for additional overage usage above the baseline provided quota” (Plans). The pricing page shows “Flexible AI credit pool” only on the Pro and Ultra cards (Antigravity pricing).

For Pro and Ultra users, an AI Credit Overages setting decides what happens when a model’s baseline quota is exhausted (Plans):

Setting Behavior
Never “Never use AI credits automatically, wait until the baseline quota refreshes before using this model further”
Always “Always use AI credits when the baseline quota is exhausted (will switch back automatically to using the baseline quota once the refresh hits)”

AI credits “are consumed at standard Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform consumption pricing” (Plans). The docs also state there is currently no support for bring-your-own-key or bring-your-own-endpoint to raise rate limits.

The paid individual options on the Antigravity pricing page are Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra, priced on Google’s subscriptions page (US):

Plan Price What it says about Antigravity Listing
For Individuals (free) $0/month “Basic weekly rate limits” /plans/antigravity-free
Google AI Pro $19.99/month “Entry rate limits to agent model in Google Antigravity” /plans/antigravity-google-ai-pro
Google AI Ultra (5x) $99.99/month “Higher rate limits to agent model in Google Antigravity” /plans/antigravity-google-ai-ultra
Google AI Ultra (20x) $199.99/month “Highest rate limits to agent model in Google Antigravity” /plans/antigravity-google-ai-ultra

The Antigravity pricing page describes Pro as “Experience what it is like to build, work, and automate with agents” with “More rate limits,” and Ultra as “Leverage Antigravity as your daily driver with higher access to our latest Gemini models” with “Even more rate limits.” Google AI Plus ($4.99/month) shares the free column in the models table and its plan card does not mention Antigravity (subscriptions).

Business plan via Google Cloud

Teams use Antigravity under Google Cloud terms, not the individual plans. The pricing page lists three options:

  • “Access via API with consumption-based pricing”
  • “Standard/Plus plans starting at $30 USD per seat per month”
  • “Pay-as-you-go plan with $0 seat fee and consumption based pricing”

The enterprise docs describe two ways to connect: a Google Cloud project with consumption-based billing, or a Gemini Enterprise Standard or Plus license with “access to included quotas, managed overages, and centralized administrative controls.” Administrators need a Google Cloud project with active Cloud Billing and must enable the Gemini Enterprise API (aiplatform.googleapis.com) before buying licenses. The docs note the standalone Antigravity IDE is not yet supported for enterprise deployments; Antigravity 2.0, the Antigravity CLI and IDE extensions are. See the Antigravity business listing.

Who can use the free plan

From the Antigravity FAQ:

  • “Google Antigravity is currently available for personal Google Accounts in approved geographies.”
  • “Currently, Antigravity is unavailable to users under 18.”

How to start on the free plan

  1. Download the installer for your OS from antigravity.google/download. The Getting started page lists these requirements: macOS “Minimum version 12 (Monterey); x86 is not supported,” “Windows 10 (64-bit),” and Linux with “glibc >= 2.28, glibcxx >= 3.4.25 (for example, Ubuntu 20, Debian 10, Fedora 36, RHEL 8).”
  2. Install it; if asked about an existing version, select Replace.
  3. Sign in with a personal Google Account. Without a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription on that account, you are on the free plan’s weekly quota (Plans).
  4. Pick the agent model from the model dropdown; the selection persists for the conversation (Models).
